Award-winning entrepreneur Freda Shafi has had an amazing career, experiencing the world through food.
The 6-course menu will begin with Okra fries before seared scallops on a bed of lentil gravy garnished with fried leeks and dehydrated rose petals. Following that is a crispy vegetable samosa served with puffed rice and Bombay mix and then Tandoori seabass with gunpowder potatoes.
Lamb cutlets follow served with wild mushroom pilau rice, vegetable crisps and tamarind chutney.
Of course, the meal wouldn’t be complete without a classic Daal Makhani served with crispy yet fluffy naan bread.
To finish there are 2 desert courses including mango sorbet with rosewater granita a traditional ice dessert that is refreshing, light and subtle in flavour and Classic Kheer with cardamom, pistachio and crystallised rose petals.
To finish the evening guests will be greeted with Chai tea served with a traditional Indian Nankkhati a sweet and spicey shortbread biscuit.
Guests can expect a colourful and perfectly spiced menu, a summer cocktail on arrival and canapés included in the event.
