The Italian spectacular will be taking over Cathedral Gardens from the 13-15th July 2018, transforming it into a delicious ‘Little Italy’ for three jam-packed days featuring everything from pizza to prosecco!
Established to showcase truly authentic Italian culture and produce, the Festival is all about bringing the most glorious and extraordinary Italian food and drink to Manchester.
This year the Festival has already confirmed that the will be serving up an exclusive and authentic taste of Capri – the stunning island in the Bay of Naples – as they bring what is set to be the drink of the summer to the city…. Limoncello Di Capri, the 100% natural original Limoncello made from certified, sun-drenched Sorrento and Capri lemons is coming to Manchester!
Limoncello originated on this sunny island, first created over a century ago by hotel proprietor Vincenza Canale. She created and served up the first Limoncello using the lemons from her garden and it was her descendants who continued to develop the product and eventually trademarked the name Limoncello Di Capri.
Limoncello di Capri has remained the same since its first serve back in the last century by Vincenza, using the very best lemons exclusively grown on Capri and Sorrento.
Until now, Limoncello of this quality has been a luxury enjoyed mainly by the Italians, but now this fabulous product has arrived on British shores… and Manchester is the first place is to get a real taste of Capri, thanks to Festa Italiana.
Limoncello Di Capri will be bringing their original and authentic Limoncello to the Festival via a fabulous Capri Spritz Bar… this is where Mancunians can say ‘hello’ to their new favourite summer drinking experience. The Capri Spritz is Limoncello Di Capri served over ice with premium tonic and Prosecco Brut and garnished with strawberry and fresh mint – an utterly gorgeous, zingy, warm ray of sunshine in a glass.
An iconic drink in the making, it is as beautiful as it is delicious, with fabulously retro branding and a stunning pastel yellow serve, it’s the sort of elegant, timelessly fashionable drink that one ought to be seen sipping all summer long!
As nights get lighter, those that can’t wait until the Festa in July can visit Salvi’s at Corn Exchange or John Dalton Street where their Capri Spritz awaits.Goodbye hot toddies and buongiorno Limoncello!
