Tis the season to start getting jolly and enjoying some festive fun, whether it be for the kids, the adults or the whole family. Here’s a few picks from Manchester’s Finest which will provide some seasonal treats!
Star Wars Padawan Training – Selfridges, Trafford
For those of you who can’t wait to ‘feel the force’ this Christmas then head over to Selfridges Trafford Centre for some Star Wars Padawan Training. No we are not playing Jedi mind tricks with you…it’s true and best of all, it’s free! Yes, to celebrate the release of Star Wars™: The Force Awakensin UK cinemas on 17 December, Selfridges is offering aspiring Padawans the chance to train with a Jedi Master!
Under the watchful eye of the Jedi Master and a Jedi Knight, young Padawans will don Jedi robes, learn the ways of the Force and discover how to master a lightsaber.
Now before all the adults reading this start to rush off to relive their youth and follow the path of Yoda there’s a slight catch… you need to be aged between 6 to 12 years to take part.
Training sessions begin at Selfridges Trafford on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November with sessions throughout the day from 12pm. The sessions run each weekend up until Christmas.
So that’s the kids sorted but what about the ‘big kids’?…
Very Bad Santa – Great Northern Warehouse
Well from 16th December at Great Northern Warehouse you can be immersed in a surreal festive experience for grown-ups on a promenade journey to meet the man himself, Santa who is sick of the sight of Christmas
already and doesn’t mind telling you so. That’s right, Christmas has just turned nasty!
Join the team from House of the Dead on a brand new Christmas attraction to celebrate everything that is just a little bit wrong with the festive season, featuring Evil Uncle Terry in his Christmas jumper, the mandatory fun and games at the Office Party, The Ghost of Christmas Past, The Nutcracker Girls and the Church of Karaoke.
This year’s less then festive offering from HOTD Ltd (the Company that brought you Trapped Up North and the acclaimed Halloween experience House of the Dead) is a tongue-in-cheek look at the more absurd side of Christmas.
The Very Bad Santa show is strictly for Adults 18+ only and runs for a limited time.
From 16th -19th December and 21st -23rd December 2015. For more information visit www.houseofthedead.com
