Hotel Gotham Throws Epic 1920’s Birthday Bash This Friday

The hotel, in the central conservation area of Manchester, is set in one of the city’s grandest listed buildings – a former bank premises at 100 King Street designed by Edwin Lutyens and referenced in Pevsner’s Architectural Guide.

The Art Deco building features carvings by local sculptor John Ashton Floyd and was dubbed the ‘King of King Street’, due to its grandeur, size and castle-like design.

Having opened as a Hotel in 2015 to major acclaim, Bespoke Hotels have certainly fulfilled their promise to make it a fun and whimsical destination which is design-led with the odd bit of witty naughtiness.

With 55 bedrooms, 5 inner sanctum suites, a two AA Rosette awarded restaurant, Honey, and Brass, the roof-top private bar and members club, Hotel Gotham has met critical and public regard. It has picked up a number of awards including “The Coolest Boutique Hotel Award” at the Cool Venue Awards, as well as “Outstanding New Hotel” at the Independent Hotel Show Awards.

In addition, it has been listed amongst Conde Nast Traveller’s “Hot List”, which lines up the 60 best new hotels in the world, as well as being the only hotel in the UK to feature in Escapism magazine’s “Hip Hotel” roster.

The date of the party is known, so is the time. However, the final location is secret and you’ll need to be on the list with the secret word to enter. As for the theme – its 1920s, naturally, and quite frankly we wouldn’t expect anything less.

Just one small batch of tickets have been released to the public priced at £30 each to include a drinks reception, chef’s canapés and entertainment including a 25 piece jazz band set to create the ultimate speakeasy setting for this secret location party.
