You had me at ‘sausage & cider.’ I don’t need anything more to convince me to go, but I’ll fill you in on the deets anyway.
Landing in Manchester next month will be SIX different types of German bratwurst, FOUR British bangers, and 4 of ‘Fat Belly Bob’s’ specials (including more creative curveballs like ‘Cranberry Stilton and Sage,’ or, ‘Smoky Maple and Chilli’). After you’ve travelled the world by sausage, you’ll probably need a refreshing beverage. Eating is no light work, my friend.
There will be up to 16 ciders available for you to try, debate, and rate. One that’s caught my eye has a very frightening skull and crossbones on (not a cider for the kids, I don’t think) called ‘Rum Cider.’ Definitely going to have to give that one a try. Of course, craft beer and gin will also be available for any apple-haters.
If you’ve always considered competitive eating – this could be your time to shine. The festival will be hosting eating competitions, providing you plenty opportunity to stuff yourself silly. It might be mass-sausage, or a heated spice-test, but serious competition is promised.
Live bands and in-house DJs will be soundtracking your experience to perfection – the only thing that can complement sausage as good as cider, is great music.
The festival is being held in Manchester’s iconic Victoria Warehouse for the very first time ever. March can’t come soon enough.
