That’s what my mum used to say, around one week ago when she decided it was a good idea to start selling pies door-to-door. Well, this lot have a better idea – delivering all of the ingredients (plus instructions) which you then make yourself. Here’s our favourites…
‘GIY’ Grilled Cheese

They’re calling this a GIY kit – or Grill-It-Yourself – and grill you will my friend. For £20 you’ll get 2x Grilled Cheeses, 2x Macaroni Cheese and even a FREE Grilled Cheese voucher when they re-open again after lockdown. In terms of putting it all together – let’s all be honest with each other – it’s easy peasy. The results are sublime though.

Who doesn’t want to look like they know what they’re doing in the kitchen, and having some top-notch food to eat at the end of it?! Nobody. So Simon Wood has introduced these DIY ‘WOOD at Home’ kits – where he’s done most of the cooking for you – all you need to do is finish some things off, add the final touches and voila – you’ve got some proper high-end food in your pokey little flat. Perfect with all of this sunny weather we’ve been having, Zouk offer up these brilliant BBQ packs – loaded with a ton of meat that they’ve already marinated and prepared for you. Even though it can sometimes be really, really hard, all you need to do is fire up the BBQ and get these meaty delights shoved on top. A bit of advice – try to save all of the lamb chops for yourself by hiding them towards the back of the BBQ – they’re too good to share.
DIY Burger & Full English Breakfast Kits

A true Manchester institution, the team over at Koffee Pot haven’t been resting on their laurels during lockdown, instead offering up a couple of great DIY kits for you to re-create that Pot experience but at home. First, they came up with an excellent DIY Burger Kit, closely followed by a Full English Breakfast Kit. Both amazing and both well worth the bunce.

Prepared by the talented team at Higher Ground (the new restaurant located in KAMPUS on Aytoun Street), this pack included 4 dishes to feed 2 people plus a 4-pack of Cloudwater Helles Lager to wash it all down with.
