This week sees the opening of a brand-new pop-up deli from three of the most experienced and knowledgeable people in the city’s food scene.
Julien Pizer, Executive Chef at Cottonopolis and Edinburgh Castle has teamed up with Holy Grain Sourdough and The Crafty Cheese Man to bring us ‘3 Hands’ – a deli with outstanding bread (obviously), amazing cheese (duh) and a whole host of delectable and unusual treats.
The ‘3’ are taking over Holy Grain Sourdough from Thursday 12th November at the bakery on Deansgate Mews – that little street at the Great Northern Warehouse – you know the one.
Transforming into an Aladdin’s cave of fit food for lockdown, expect the finest cheeses in all the land from the most knowledgeable cheese legend in the North – Jonathan Pearcey AKA ‘The Crafty Cheese Man‘. This fella has forgotten more about cheese than you’ll probably ever know – so you can be sure of getting the best cheeses the region has to offer.
In addition to the cheese, Julian will be preparing a range of British ‘charcuterie’ to go alongside, plus additional treats made by his very capable hands. Top this all off with some freshly baked bread from the Holy Grain crew and you’re in lockdown deli heaven.
Head on down from 10am on Thursday and get involved – I’ll be heading down tomorrow to get my supplies ready for my Arnie Marathon over the weekend.
