Manchester Union Brewery have announced they will be throwing a party on Saturday 3rd July, to celebrate their second birthday, six months after it was due.

The brewery was just one of many to miss a special occasion due to lockdown, and have planned one mega party at its taproom to make up for it, partnering with Manchester music heroes LOVE DOSE for a DJ takeover of the taproom.

The beer will be flowing all afternoon, with Manchester Union’s award winning lager and its bohemian black lager After Dusk served just meters away from where it is brewed. Alongside the brewery’s award-winning lagers, there will also be Verdant See Food & Dance IPA on tap for the occasion, the IPA is smooth and light, but incredibly deep with ripe flavours abound.

Manchester based record label and events collective, LOVE DOSE, who host irregular parties at venues including Hidden, Stage & Radio, Kanteena will supply the tunes, and DJ’s including Bobby Ganoush, Chan, Craig Campbell, Efenar, Kerouac, Nalu & Pollen will have guests shuffling in their seats from midday to 8pm.

Beehive Food and Pretzel & Spelt will be providing the snacks in the form of freshly baked pretzels, and Manchester Eggs; pickled eggs wrapped in a mix of Bury black pudding and sage & onion sausage meat, all covered in breadcrumbs. The handmade snacks will be served free to any party-goer when they spend £10 or more at the bar.

Jamie Scahill, co-founder of the brewery said “It’s a great feeling to be able to celebrate our second birthday albeit 6 months late but to be honest it’s good just to still be here after the last 15 months, we look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces and having a pint together”

Entry to the event is free, and guests can just rock up on the day to join in the festivities – no bookings needed.
