Offering up a selection of unique layered fruit juices and smoothies, alongside a dedicated ‘Salt & Pepper’ food menu, Manchester’s iconic Gay Village welcomes Dr Miao to its streets.
“Miao” has two meanings in Chinese; one is “seedling” and the other is “wonderful” and both words are indicative of what this new juice joint are offering. Great service with fresh drinks, fantastic food and indulgent desserts -all made in-house.
Their layered juice drinks are certainly eye-catching and feature different ‘levels’ of healthy, tasty smoothies – each one working together to create a cocktail of flavours and textures. All of their layered fruit juice is made from only the freshest fruit.
We went down last week to try their Mango & Coconut, and the Avocado & Strawberry – both were amazing!
In addition to the Layered Juices, Dr Miao have also recently introduced a new Salt & Pepper food menu, featuring Thai Chicken Strips, Salt & Pepper Chicken Strips and Salt & Pepper Tofu, all priced at just £5.
As well as this we tried Dr Miao’s King Size Fried Chicken, a Taiwanese style of fried chicken that is extra crispy and juicy. Apparently they were the first place in Manchester to offer this style of fried chicken.
Desserts feature a range of indulgent treats, from Oreo cheesecakes, Durian Buns and something that will certainly catch you eye – these unique dog cakes…
Made in-house (like all of their desserts) cut into this Bulldog Cake to reveal a chocolatey, hazelnut centre, perfect alongside some layered juice or some tea.
To celebrate their opening, Dr Miao will be offering 50 FREE Goodie Bags to customers on Sunday 22nd August, each one featuring a unique layered drink, Dr Miao fan and a few extra treats in there too.
