A variety of all-singing, all-dancing performers grace the stage at every Guilty Pleasures event. Boldly and unashamedly, they pull out their funkiest threads and most extreme moves to the soundtrack of pure pop history – all to the audience’s delight, making Guilty Pleasures the original and best party to get your groove on. On October 13th, party-starter and Guilty Pleasures founder Sean Rowley will spin tunes, all-singing, all-dancing; DJ Anna Greenwood will entertain with infectious enthusiasm, plus the UK’s premier all-bear dance, burlesque and cabaret troupe, The Dreambears, will be performing for your viewing pleasure throughout the evening.
“It’s infectious and theatrical and rousing and makes you want to dance yourself silly” – The Telegraph
Guilty Pleasures is Manchester’s biggest, boldest, brashest and best night out. Packed with relentlessly energetic DJs, acrobatic bedazzling dancers, live bands and speciality performers galore, over five years it has established itself as Manchester’s number one top spot for a P.A.R.T.Y. Cramming an army of entertainment into every party, with dressing-up themes, special guest performers plus the greatest musical smashers from the pop and party spectrum – Buggles to Beyoncé, Wild Cherry to Katy Perry, Whitney to Winehouse – all played with unabashed joy and passion that’ll have you bouncing off the walls and head over heels with excitement. It’s what Saturday nights were invented for.
Guilty Pleasures was first established in 2004, created by super music fan, pop music aficionado and disco-lover Sean Rowley as a concept on his cult BBC London radio show. Rowley – who won this year’s silver medal winner of the Sony Music Broadcaster of the Year award – absolutely lives and breathes pop music in all its forms. Guilty Pleasures has gone strong for almost eight years, with a dedicated following that grows with every month.
