The 90s was a big time for our beloved Bez. Touring the world with the Happy Mondays and dancing his little socks off to an audience of wide-eyed, sweaty ravers has meant he’s now one of the city’s biggest legends.
With the recent rise in popularity of bottomless brunches, Escape to Freight Island has just announced that on the 7th May, it will be joined by Bez for a very special Bottomless Bingo Brunch!
The rave-fuelled, melon-twisting brunch will see Bez joined by comedians, DJs, singers and dancers alongside a big game of bingo. Forget your Gala and Tombolas, though, as this one will see you up on the tables, flailing your arms around to the finest 90s bangers in-between dabbing your numbers.
Tickets to the event are £45 and include 60 minutes of bottomless booze, as well as a choice of amazing street food from some of Escape to Freight Island’s best traders, with veggie and vegan options available, too.
Bez will no doubt be throwing some of his very best, evocative dance moves on the floor of Freight Island on Saturday the 7th, sure to transport you straight back to your baggy t-shirt student days.
Freight Island is also hosting other Manchester clubbing legends, Greg Wilson, Graeme Park and John Letts over the Easter bank holiday weekend. The free party will feature an alfresco BBQ, as well as a family disco, pop-up shop and all of Freight’s other glorious food and drink offerings.
Greg Wilson’s most recent remix credits have included Grace Jones, The XX, Groove Armada, Steve Mason and more, and you can expect all the timeless funk, soul, disco, party hip-hop, electro-funk edits on Easter Sunday. Joining Greg on the decks are Jenna G, Graeme Park, Don Letts (DJ set), and Sally Rodgers (A Man Called Adam).
