Lunch Time Live presents… The Quangos at the Bench Self Made Gallery
Saturday 2nd February, 1pm – FREE
Ahead of their first big Academy 3 gig next week, The Quangos are to treat the Bench Self Made Gallery to the first Lunch Time Live of 2013, this Saturday 2nd February at 1pm.
Lunch Time Live is a series of free lunchtime gigs featuring Manchester’s up and coming talent performing acoustic sets and The Quangos follow 2012 performances from Jessie Rose, Frazer King, Dirty North and The Naughtys.
Tipped for huge things, and described by The Times newspaper as ‘Manchester’s rising star’ The Quangos will play a free Saturday lunchtime acoustic set including new single You Don’t Know My Name, available to download, along with their new video filmed in the Bench Self Made Gallery, on iTunes from next week.
Band Bio
THE QUANGOS… Confining their sound to one style is virtually impossible, with the band pulling in influences as different as Ray Charles and The La’s, The Quangos have conjured up a truly unique blend of old and new, helping them to bridge the gap and attract fans from every generation. Their eclectic taste in music only adds flavour to all their own… You can hear the soul cutting through in the voice of lead singer Josh Goddard mixed with gritty Manchester twang… Truly original.
