Scare City 2023: Zombie

Scare City is returning for 2023 to terrorise us with the promise of more blood, gore, and scares than ever before.

Taking over the eerily abandoned Camelot theme park near Chorley, the walk-through scare fest will make your nightmares a reality with terrifying creatures lurking in the shadows and zombies out to give you the fright of your life this Halloween.

This year’s Scare City will feature 10 brand-new horror zones, including four indoor mazes to panic your way out of. There’ll be hordes of live actors, horrifyingly realistic set design, and more than a few things going ‘bump’ in the night – think derelict hospitals, cannibal butchers, spooky cults, and a serial killer’s dumping ground.

In the run up to the event there will be more announcements on social media and glimpses of what to expect from the scares lurking in the different zones. We can reveal there will also be a few familiar faces making an appearance, including the corrupt cast of The Moregrave Brother’s circus. If you don’t know them already, prepare to get acquainted with a rogue’s gallery of the grim and grotesque.

Renowned master confectioners Swizzels returns as the headline sponsor for Manchester’s favourite horror event. Getting scared silly is thirsty work and the Swizzels Resurrection Zone will offer some respite from the scares at the halfway point. You’ll find a feast of food and beverages on offer from a range of vendors as well as ‘Halloween’ candy courtesy of the sponsor. So, you’ll be able to refuel for the second leg of your journey, or perhaps it’ll be your last supper…

The first night of scares kicks off on September 29th, with events running until early November.

If you think you can handle a night in this theme park of nightmares and hellish screams you can book tickets for Scare City 2023 now.
