Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo will land at the Co-op Live arena next year, joining a growing number of international artists heading for what will be the UK’s biggest indoor live music venue.
The show on Friday 3 May, 2024, will be part of her GUTS world tour, supporting her second album, Guts, released earlier this month.
Fans of the ‘Vampire’ singer will be able to register from now until 10pm on Sunday 17 September for tickets.
Once registration closes, fans will be selected at random to receive a code which will allow them to buy their tickets from Thursday 21 September, on a first come, first served basis.
Co-op members – you can download the Co-op app and register here – will be able to get early access to the presale, from 10am on Wednesday 20 September.
You can find full details of the ticketing system here…
The registration system, which is being used increasingly by high-profile music artists, is being implemented in order to get tickets into the hands of fans, rather than online bots and resale sites, where ticket prices soon get vastly inflated.
In the support slot for the Manchester show will be Remi Wolf.
Guts, which followed her four-times platinum debut album Sour, was released on September 8, and was hailed as an ‘instant classic’ by Rolling Stone magazine, receiving a rash of five-star reviews across the music press.
She will also play shows at the 3Arena in Dublin on April 30, 2024, the Ovo Hydro Arena in Glasgow on May 7, the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on May 10, and two nights at the O2 in London on May 14 and 15.
Rodrigo follows the announcement of the first acts to play at Co-op Live, the 23,500-person capacity, £365 million venue due to open on the Etihad campus next year, and which counts One Direction star Harry Styles as an investor.
Among the other artists announced so far are ex-One Direction star Niall Horan, rock legend Eric Clapton and Keane.
