The historic Midland Hotel’s Mount Street Dining Room & Bar is launching a new Saturday dining concept.
Less bottomless brunch, more a free-wheeling bottomless lunch, the Mount Street Social sessions will be hinged on big group sharing menus, drinks offers and live music in the magnificent high-ceilinged 120-year-old dining room.
It’ll take place every Saturday afternoon from 2pm until 5pm, with guests being served the entire menu of hearty British classics served over 3 courses, cocktails and other drinks, plus live entertainment to bring it all together.
The menu will feature various dishes to start with, including the likes of beef croquettes with truffle aioli, classic prawn cocktail lettuce cups or a fresh heritage tomato salad with burrata and a basil jelly.
Mains will include the likes of comforting classics like steak and ale pies, smoked haddock rosti, toad in the hole with Cumberland sausages or a pulled pork mac and cheese, with the menu changing regularly.
For puddings, you’re looking at chocolate hazelnut brownies with honeycomb and vanilla whipped cream and hearty seasonal trifles.
For a set price, you can also be delivered drinks all afternoon, too, including a range of wines by the glass from prosecco to a Rare Vineyards Pinot Noir, bellinis, martinis and spirits.
Prices come in at £40 per person for the full three set course sharing menu, and £35 per person for a 6 drink package that can be split between guests if you wish.
