New Order are all set to play a huge show at Wythenshawe Park next summer.
The iconic Manchester outfit will headline an all-day event in the South Manchester park on the August Bank Holiday Saturday – 24 August.
It’ll be the band’s first Manchester show since 2021, where the band sold out Heaton Park playing to 35,000 people, their biggest ever hometown crowd.
They’ll be joined on the bill by fellow Manchester legend and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, also formerly a member of supergroup Electronic with Marr and the likes of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys.
Disco queen Roisin Murphy will also play, fresh from the release of her album Hit Parade, released over the summer.
Pre-sale tickets will go on sale on Monday 4 December at 10am, with general release starting at 10am on Tuesday 5 December, both via Ticketmaster and Gigsandtours.
General admission is £55, with a VIP option at £125.
Wythenshawe Park was used for the first time in its history as a major concert venue last summer, when Noel Gallagher bought his band High Flying Birds to play, alongside Primal Scream and Future Islands.
The New Order show happens the night before Stockport’s Blossoms headline their own event on 25 August. They’ll be joined by Inhaler, Shed 7, The Ks, Seb Lowe and Ttrruuces.
