Founded by David Jayet-Laraffe, a French artist who made Manchester his home, Frog has been turning heads with its unique, fashion-forward approach to floristry since 2007. More than just a florist, he’s a true artist with a passion for pushing the boundaries of what flowers can do, and the track record to prove it.
Since opening Frog, David has done everything from intimate wedding arrangements to eye-catching centre-pieces at high-end events – Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Northern Quarter fashion show included. But this isn’t just about big occasions and luxury brands. The talented team bring touches of beauty to everyday spaces across Manchester and the region, their weekly flower deliveries brightening up offices, hotels, restaurants, and homes, designs always fresh, creative, and a little daring.
Taking things to the next level, in 2024 Frog launched its Flower School, where creativity and sustainability come together under the guidance of headteacher Suzie Clarke and her fellow experts. All of who are committed to revolutionising the floriculture industry for the greener. Courses range from one-day workshops to in-depth five-day Frog Academy programmes, seasonal classes to hen parties, and corporate sessions.
But what really sets the operation apart is its joyful, natural approach to floristry. The team believe flowers should bring happiness to life, and that spirit runs through everything they do.
Every workshop at Frog is open to all abilities; whether you want to come and express your creativity with flowers or if you’re a trained florist looking to brush up on specific skills and styles -there are classes for all at The Frog Flower School! The energy in their studio, which runs over two floors, is contagious, making this the perfect environment for anyone wanting to learn something new and exciting. It’s about tapping into your own creativity and seeing flowers in a whole new light. And meeting a community of like-minded people who share a love for all things floral and truly extraordinary.
