Christine And The Queens, Job Jobse, Tiga, 2ManyDJs and Nicky Siano line up for Homobloc 2024

Christine And The Queens will headline Homobloc 2024, it’s been confirmed.

The ‘queer block party for all’ will be back in November with a set from the French electro-pop sensation, alongside some top flight DJs also announced.

Taking to the controls at Depot Mayfield will be Job Jobse playing back-to-back with Saoirse, Shygirl, HAAi, 2manyDJs playing back-to-back with the Confidence Man DJs, Studio 54 and The Gallery legend Nicky Siano, Tiga, Prosumer, Erol Alkan, Princess Superstar, Hercules & Love Affair and COBRAH.

There will also be performance art by LGBTQ+ collectives including Ghetto Fabulous, Make Me Feel, House of Spice and Sue Veneers.

It kicks off 9 November at 2pm, winding up at 4am on 10 November.

Rod Connolly, Promoter from Homobloc, said: “Keeping it fresh for 2024, we are excited to be announcing a dynamic festival line-up that unites iconic artists in electronic music, a feast of characters from Manchester’s queer nightlife and a new stage dedicated to platform LGBTQ+ artists from the global underground music spectrum.

“More than ever, Homobloc stands as a beacon of unity and celebration, Love is the message in our house and we promise a safe haven to express queer joy, rage and connection in response to the current social climate.”

The first Homobloc – a spin-off of Homoelectric, created for ‘homos, heteros, lesbos, don’t knows and disko asbos’ – happened in 2019, with the likes of Roisin Murphy, The Black Madonna, Honey Dijon and Self Esteem having shown up to play out.

The organisation have been branching out with other collaborative standalone events this year too, with shows from the likes of ANOHNI And The Johnsons, Gossip and Fever Ray happening at venues across the city in 2024.

Tickets for Homobloc 2024 go on pre-sale on 15 August at 10am and general sale on 16 August at 10am.
