The group, which owns other Northern Quarter haunts Hula, Walrus and Tusk plus recently launched Ibiza-inspired mega bar, Lazy Lizard, will soft launch with a pop-up event over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Pop Up Pig will be a 4 day party event, with DJs playing each night along with craft beers, wines and cocktails being served, before the bar officially re-opens in early April.
The event will run from 4pm until 2am, Thursday to Sunday, over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend with full details available here:
From early April, The Blue Pig will officially re-open its doors and will continue to operate under its existing name. The venue will have a mini refurbishment and new menus, but bosses promise to bring back the much-loved Sunday roasts, local ales and craft beers.
Mark Andrew, managing director at MAD Ltd says: “We are really excited about our latest addition to the MAD portfolio. The Blue Pig is a much-loved Northern Quarter staple with a loyal customer base and we’d like to thank Cleo and her team for their hard work to this point.
“We don’t need to make much in the way of change but we want to add our signature MAD twist. So we’ll be giving the interiors a refresh, but we are committed to honoring what The Blue Pig is all about, so you’ll still find a tasty food menu, exceptional Sunday roasts and a great drinks menu to include quality wines, local pale ales and craft beers.”
