The Hunna
16th- 18th January- Manchester Academy
2018 has been a defining year for the Hertfordshire four-piece as they continue their meteoric rise. Kicking off 2018 on a high, The Hunna announced the release of their second studio album titled ‘Dare’ (out 13th July) and quickly followed it up with huge domestic shows, which included two unforgettable nights in January at the 02 Academy Brixton.
Having spent the remainder of the year on a world tour, which has seen the band play their debut shows in Australia, The Hunna also returned to the UK to headline London’s All Points East Festival, drawing one of the biggest crowds of the weekend and confirming their potential to headline major festivals around the world.
With more extensive world touring planned for the remainder of the year and their biggest headline show to date announced for the end of the year at Alexandra Palace, The Hunna’s January 2019 residency shows will be something of a homecoming tour following what will have been a remarkable year for the band.
From the release of their critically acclaimed debut album ‘100’, which landed at #13 in the UK official album charts in August 2016, The Hunna have gone on to achieve a huge amount in the time that has followed. This has included selling over 80,000 tickets and 50,000 albums in the UK, accumulating over 100 million Spotify streams and headlining at festivals such as Reading and Leeds, All Points East and Kendal Calling.
With the release of their second album set to take them onto even bigger and better things, the January 2019 residency tour could well be the last opportunity to see the band at a standing venue as they look set to move into arenas in the UK.
