Each and every Wednesday at Electrik of Chorlton you can find some of the city’s best and brightest record collectors and crate diggers, who are invited down to play whatever they want in entirety with no mixing, headphones, scratching or beat juggling, it’s strictly just about the music.
Wednesday 18th September will be a very special One Deck indeed as true Mancunian legend Mani heads to Electrik with his selection of vinyl and that signature swagger, playing a night of “rock n roll, punk, funk & soul, bit of reggae thrown in for good measure…as Mr Kipling might say, exceedingly eclectic!”
As bass player for The Stone Roses and Primal Scream, Mani is sure to have played much bigger gigs than this, but probably nothing as intimate or personal as he allows the people of Chorlton to judge his own music selection. Good luck matey!
Just like most One Deck’s there’s no guarantee of what will be played on the night – just sit back and enjoy the music.
Each Wednesday also sees Electrik run their brilliant Pizza Giro night, where you can take advantage of non-stop pizza for 4 hours between 5pm and 9pm for just £5.
