Cottonopolis, which is tucked away behind Piccadilly and situated in a stunning grade II-listed building offers delicious bites and multi-award-winning cocktails.
Offering up Manchester their exquisite selection of Japanese-inspired cuisine for 5 years, 2019 was an immense year for the team – with the introduction of their eagerly anticipated new Principles cocktail menu (inspired by the principles of Japanese Aesthetics) and their nomination for the Imbibe’s Drinks List of the Year.
This January, the team are treating us to their January Set Menu, which includes FIVE courses for just £18! Available all day Monday – Thursday and until 7pm on Friday, each course is a meat or vegan option (so for those of you doing Veganuary – they’ve got you covered!)
Dishes include the delicious crispy Gyoza Skins sprinkled with a spicy seasoning (served alongside a creamy avocado salsa) and the refreshing Asparagus in Yuzo Mignonette.
Enjoy indulgent light-bites such as the Kurobuta Pork Yakiton (expertly cooked cubes of marinated pork belly) – served with spring onion relish and a creamy pickled walnut mayo and the Seasonal Mushroom Noodle Salad (served cold) with root vegetables, lotus crisps, black sesame and ponzu.
Heartier dishes include the Kakuni or Tofu Rice Bowl, choose between pork belly or salt and pepper tofu – both packed with flavour and served with a katsu like Japanese curry and forest mushrooms.
Advanced online booking is essential for the January Set Menu at Cottonopolis.
