KAI have been sering up a storm since opening last year with people flocking to get a taste of their fantastic coal fired meats, kebabs and massive range of Middle Eastern mezze.
Recently though they’ve added a new string to their bow – an Authentic Turkish Breakfast. Served every day from 8am to 11am, there’s a seriously impressive range of classic Turkish dishes on offer and what’s even better is that for just £2 there’s unlimited coffee! Let the bells ring.
Menemen (£6)
Menemen is a traditional Turkish dish, similar to shakshouka, including eggs, tomato, green peppers and plenty of spices. KAI serves it up with traditional Turkish bread to dunk into that runny yolk.
Breakfast Pide (£7)
Pide is a traditional Middle Eastern filling dish. A classic staple, the doughy bread, often used as a pizza base. KAI’s Breakfast Pide is filled with spinach and feta or Sujuk (a dry spicy sausage) and cheese.
Sucuklu Yumurta (£6)
Sucuklu Yumurta literally translates to ‘eggs with Sujuk’. The spicy beef sausage is sliced and served with fried eggs with runny yolks and a sprinkling of chilli flakes.
Apricot & Honey Porridge (£4)
Porridge, although a stable is never good when you make it at home. It’s usually bland, mushy and flavourless. Not at KAI though. Covered with sweet dried apricot slices, lashings of honey and topped with toasted seeds, there’s a crunch, sweetness and plenty of flavour.
So why not get down and try something new for breakfast – the Turkish way!
