Three of the city’s most exciting venues have announced their new programme of events for the Autumn season. Ramona, Firehouse and Diecast have revealed their new programme of live music, Halloween events and wild parties.

Over at Diecast, the Brooklyn Beer Hall will host the return of the incredible 14-piece Elemental Orchestra, performing iconic renditions of pop hits.

Headlining every Friday, expect sets dedicated to divas (think Rihanna, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift), House classics (Bob Sinclar, Robin S etc) as well as Top of the Pops, non-stop sing-a-long classics from the likes of Madonna, Cher, ABBA, all performed by the boutique orchestra.

On Saturdays, Club Ex Machina at Club Leno will boast sky high networks of dancers performing on vertical stages, stairways, and basically anywhere they can bust some seriously good moves. Grab a frozen daiquiri and dance along to their resident DJs all spinning house, techno and party classics.

Meanwhile, Firehouse are bringing in an all-new roster of events on the other end of Great Ancoats Street. The weekend starts early with Spank on Thursday nights, a new night which will see a raucous cabaret take over the venues, with a mix of burlesque, showgirls, contortionists, drag and circus acts.

On Fridays, you’ll find us watching the venue’s five-piece resident party band and enjoying the house DJs spinning a playlist of upbeat club classics and party bangers all night, alongside dance performances from Manchester’s underground queer acts.

Saturday night will be House Of Fire, where a dedicated dance team will perform outlandish choreography in outrageous costumes on the central Firehouse runway. Expect to see everything from vogue, contemporary and hip-hop.

Next door, as big coat season fast approaches, Ancoats’ ultimate cosy corner Ramona are re-lighting the roaring fires in the middle of their tipi. Slinging out warming slices of their Detroit pies, grab one of their new autumn cocktails or book in for their bottomless.

For the midweek merrymakers amongst you, Ramona Radio Raves return every Wednesday night through Autumn too. Curated by Rich Reason, hear the best of house, garage and D&B all night long in the MOT station.

The music offering continues through to the weekend, of course; get your fill at Ramona Live on Thursday nights, or stay up late on Friday and Saturday nights with Ramona Club.

Book in at Diecast here, Ramona here and Firehouse here.
