Spanish restaurant group Evuna has announced it will close its Altrincham restaurant at the end of the year, following its ‘toughest trading period’ in 20 years.
The popular tapas and wine bar, which opened on Stamford New Road in 2019, confirmed the news in a post on social media this morning.
Evuna, which also has sites in Knutsford, the Northern Quarter and another on Deansgate, added that if any restaurateurs had jobs available for their ‘fantastic staff’ then they should get in touch.
In a statement to Manchester’s Finest, owners said: “We are saddened to advise our Altrincham branch will be closing its doors for good on the 30 December.
“We almost made it to five, and we say a huge thank you to all our regulars for supporting us over the toughest trading period we have experienced in the last 20 years.”
They added: “Our thoughts are with Karen and her team who have worked so hard to create the Evuna magic on Stamford New Road. We hope you will join us to support them in going out with a bang!
“Staff where possible have been offered employment in other branches but others are looking, so we ask other hospitality operators to get in touch with vacancies.”
The restaurant will be extending its December opening hours to six days a week for the next fortnight.
