Many of us have watched TV shows like Sex and the City and Succession and envied the characers lunchtime rituals, watching them chow down on hearty New York City subs filled with perfectly cooked meats and dripping with glistening sauces, whilst we sit staring at our own bleak Boots meal deal.
Fear not, though, as It now seems that you might just be able to try one for yourself here in one of the suburbs of the city, as there’s a new sandwich joint in town. Located in Chorlton, Fat Pat’s is bringing you hot subs, baked fresh every day on an eight-inch milk roll and filled with some of the best combos out there.

The menu is currently only limited to three sandwiches, but every one of them is phenomenal and we had the absolute pleasure of trying out all three!
The Hot Honey Fried Chicken (£8) sub is everything you’d want it to be, double chicken cutlet, hot honey, house spice mix, lettuce, tomatoes, banana pickles, a buttermilk ranch sauce, and Crystals hot sauce. Fat Pat’s aren’t messing about with their portion sizes either, 2 huge crispy chicken breasts fill the bun, every mouthful is a delight.

Cheesesteak
All the ingredients used here are super fresh and made on the day. The meatballs for the Italian Meatball (£8) are soft, house-minced meatballs, which are covered in marinara sauce, double mozzarella, house seasoning, parmigiana reggiano, and fresh basil. A classic sandwich done so, so well.
The Cheesesteak (£9) blew us away too. Fat Pat’s use only prime house ribeye steak which is sliced thinly and chopped on the grill. It’s loaded with caramelised onions, cheese whiz, and finished with crispy shallots. The fries are also double-fried and super crispy!
The team are currently working on a veggie option, too, so if meat isn’t your thing look out for a herbivore special coming in the new year.
