For fans of roast dinners – and particularly free roast dinners – Maray will be serving them up all day this Sunday.

The Middle Eastern-inclined bistro on Lincoln Square, so named after Le Marais, the buzzy neighbourhood in Paris which inspired many of its dishes, will be bringing back its Sunday roasts from 12pm onwards on 22 September.

And they’ll be charging nothing for them. £0.

There will be no reservations, just walk-ins only and when they run out, they run out.

Maray Roast

Choices come in the form of lemon, za’atar and saffron spiced chicken, roast beef sirloin or spiced chickpea nut roast.

Served alongside the roasts will be the traditional trimmings, but with a Levantine twist, like crispy fenugreek potatoes, roast vegetables and butternut squash tershi, a classic spiced dip found on all Libyan dining tables.

The Yorkshire Puddings are served in the traditional manner, as is the cauliflower cheese, while the gravy is unlimited.
