GRUB is one of Manchester’s most loved street food events, offering an amazing array of weekly vendors with flavours you’d struggle to stumble across anywhere else in the city.
Open Wednesday through to Sunday at The Red Bank Project, GRUB’s food fair takes place on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday sees the whole venue go Plant-Powered, offering some of the best plant based and vegan food in Manchester (stick it on your list if you’ve ditched the meant for Jan! It’s one you definitely won’t want to miss).
The vendors change regularly, as GRUB’s focus is on giving small independent businesses a chance to debut their food, but, at the moment, the venue has arancini, pasta and pizza from Sicilian Bites, Burmese comfort food from Rice Over Everything, class Polish grub from Polski Garmaz and delicious Korean specialities from Korean Grub Club, among others.
Does any of that sound like something you’d fancy for tea tonight but you can’t be arsed to move off the sofa? Listen, Christmas has been TOUGH, so you’ll be glad to know that all of GRUB’s glorious street food vendors are now available for delivery through Foodstuff.
Foodstuff prides itself on the fact that it only works with independents, and has a ‘pedals not petrol’ 100% emission-free tagline.
They carefully vet their vendors to ensure all the food they deliver is top quality, which is why GRUB are now working with them to deliver great quality grub as sustainably as possible. Foodstuff uses only riders on bikes, meaning there are zero carbon-emissions, and their riders receive a living wage hourly rate.
Other independents available on the platform include; Four Side Pizza, Hip Hop Chip Shop, Herbivorous, and Lazy Tony’s.
