Taking place on the afternoon of Saturday 16th March, the Block Party is the chance to spend an afternoon in a room with some of the brightest creative talents today, both on stage and sitting next to you.
The event will be an opportunity for anyone with a creative passion to come together, share ideas, insight and their experiences in a format which is relaxed, non-pretentious and most of all, fun.
This first event of the year taking place at Hatch will feature Gavin Strange; Animator, Director and Illustrator at Aardman Animations (the Academy Award winning team behind Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep) and Emmeline Pidgen; Award Winning Illustrator & IPSE Freelancer of the Year 2017 whose clients include BBC, Tesco and NHS.

The day is split up into 2 main parts, the Q&As featuring an in-depth, group discussion with guests about their experience, how they’ve got to where they are, their areas of focus, thoughts on the industry and what gets them out of bed in the morning.
The second part of the Block Party will give you the opportunity to sit down and have a personal one-to-one with the guests – giving you 15 minutes to gain some personalised insight from some incredibly experienced people.

There will also be independent food stalls on site, selling some of the best street food known to man, alongside the OL Beer Brewery and a fully stocked bar with many other fine beverages.
The Crazy Animal Face Soundsystem will also be in full effect across the day, with Duncan from The Dutch Uncles jumping on the 1’s and 2’s from 6pm.
