A brand-new makers market is heading for Manchester city centre this Bank Holiday weekend.

The inaugural Manchester Made Market will take place at New Jackson, the new urban neighbourhood nestled at the southern gateway to the city, on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May.

The two-day event will bring together a selection of artisanal traders and small businesses from across the region, with guests invited to browse the bounty of food produce, homewares, crafts and creations.

The market will feature everything from dog accessories to house plants, jewellery to homemade soap, and will provide a great way to support local artisans and makers.

Among the traders will be Manchester and Cheshire-based florist and floral artists Dot & Flora, graphic artist Ablott MCR selling music prints, HGT with crochet fashion and homeware designs, and artisan candlemakers Leaves and Prickles.

Elsewhere, there will be essential oils and other treatments from Grounded Wellness, permanent jewellery from Sealed Links, and desserts from Cake With Heart.

Meanwhile, your shopping soundtrack will be provided by local musicians who will keep the good vibes going all day long.

If all that shopping leaves your stomach rumbling, there will be plenty of street food options to keep you satisfied too.

Medlock Canteen

The good folk from The Wild Grill, Food Sorcery, Italian kitchen and deli Salvi’s and new fave Medlock Canteen, recently given a glowing review from Observer critic Jay Rayner, will be serving up top grub, whilst Neighbourhood Brew will be pouring their signature hoppy bevs.

Supported by Renaker and Showbase, the market is free, but you can upgrade your experience with a limited, free VIP ticket with access to the dedicated bar area.
