The much-loved Manchester Flower Festival returns in May to once again take over the city streets with floral displays and art installations.
Ahead of the two day event on May bank holiday weekend (23-26 May), festival organisers are calling on local garden designers, florists, street artists and flower enthusiasts to showcase their designs.

Now in its eighth year, 2025’s theme celebrates Manchester and other great cities from around the world, offering gardeners the chance to get creative with their interpretations.
From the vibrant tulip fields of Amsterdam to the urban energy of New York’s Statue of Liberty, and the high-tech influence of Singapore, designers can showcase their work through iconic landmarks, floral heritage and personal connections with global hotspots.
Open to local gardeners, landscapers, groups and brands, show gardens will pop-up across Manchester’s central shopping district. Elsewhere, community groups and budding gardeners can enter the Ginnel Garden category to showcase their skills.

Florists can also show their skills through street art and in beautiful displays at the Manchester Flower Festival Floral Marquee. Local traders can also sign up to a stall at the Festival Market, featuring plants, produce, garden decors, art and street food.
Local businesses across the city centre are also encouraged to show their support and get involved by creating a window, building or in-store display, and host food pop-ups, outdoor bars or participate in the festival’s cocktail trial.

Organised annually by Manchester City Centre Business Improvement District, the festival attracts thousands of visitors every year to enjoy the floral spectacle.
