The rumours were true – Oasis are reforming for four nights at Heaton Park in 2025, their first live shows in 16 years.

Speculation that the Gallaghers were plotting something were rife over the weekend, after the official Oasis instagram account posted simply a date – 27.08.24, a post which received nearly 900,000 likes.

The news was then confirmed this morning, with a suitably out-there comment from the band:

“The guns have fallen silent.

The stars have aligned.

The great wait is over.

Come see.

It will not be televised.”

The shows will be part of their Oasis Live 25 tour, with shows also planned in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin and Wembley Stadium in London, as well as dates around the world to be confirmed.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Saturday 31 August, at www.ticketmaster.co.ukwww.gigsandtours.com and www.seetickets.com
