Manchester International Festival (MIF) returns to the city in exactly one month, opening on Thursday 4th July in Cathedral Gardens with Yoko Ono’s incredible world première – ‘Bells for Peace’.

Yoko’s vision is for thousands of voices and an orchestra of bells to come together to ring and sing out for peace in Cathedral Gardens – and you’re invited to be part of it!

Be part of this totally free event, ring out for peace and welcome the world to Manchester – kicking off MIF19 in celebratory style.

 

MIF will be bringing 18 extraordinary days of world premières and special events at venues all over the city, including:

TREE
An electrifying theatrical journey into the heart and soul of contemporary South Africa created by Idris Elba and Kwame Kwei-Armah – with the audience at the centre of the action. (4–13 July, Upper Campfield Market Hall)

A spellbinding mix of theatre, choreography, music, architectural design and projection mapping from an all-star international creative team. (5–14 July, Mayfield)
