Deansgate’s magical cocktail apothecary, Elixir, launched their new summertime drinks menu last night with a Summer of Love themed VIP party in their very own “Garden of Earthly Delights”.

Celebs and VIPS flocked to the soulful sanctuary where they enjoyed an evening of theatrical drinks, pampering and entertainment.

Elixir made sure the cocktails were flowing with samples of their latest additions, carefully crafted to amuse and pleasure the palette.

Party-goers enjoyed Forget-Me-Not (£10.50) a floral mix of violet liqueur, lavender syrup, cranberry & lemon juice accompanied by a chilled Prosecco minature.
Inspired by the butterflies swaying in a gentle summer breeze Elixir’s cocktail the Flutter Bye (£8) was another refreshing drink comprising of Stolichnaya citrus vodka, elderflower & rose liqueur, egg white & apple juice. Lovingly garnished with edible ‘Mini Beasts’.
Elixir made sure the cocktails were flowing with samples of their latest additions, carefully crafted to amuse and pleasure the palette.
And for gin lovers there was blooming creation Jasmine Cascade (£8.50) – a gin based cocktail with green chartreuse, Jasmine syrup, lemon, apple & a sprig of rosemary. All infused over cascading dry ice & billowing Jasmine essential oil to invoke renewed energy, positivity & self-confidence.
Great fun was had with the vintage Volkswagen ‘Starchaser’ campervan parked out front on Elixir’s alfresco green grass with guests taking photos adorned in daisy chains and wearing bohemian party props.

Inside Hollyoaks stars Jorgie Porter, Stephanie Waring, Kieron Richardson and Waterloo Road’s Roxanne Pallett enjoyed a slice of vintage glamour with a decadent pamper inside Elixir’s secret powder room where celebrity HD Brows master stylist Rachael Hall and her team were on hand to perform beauty and brow makeovers alongside boutique soaps, fragrant features and heavenly refreshments.

As the night wore on the heat turned up with the bar’s creative team bringing out a bespoke “Truth or Dare” drinking game complete with a tower of reactive shots and some tantalising questions to answer!
Elixir’s owners Jess & Dan Purnell expressed their excitement about the success of their summer launch:
“The response to the new cocktails has been fantastic. We wanted to create something people would talk about and enjoy. For us the experience is everything and with the Garden of Earthly Delights menu you can get all the twists you desire.”
