Here is the announcement that all MediaCity workers and residents have been waiting for – ‘The Botanist MediaCityUK’ will be opening its doors to the public in September and it looks set to be a corker!
The 14th Botanist in the UK – the space will be situated in The Orange Tower – slap bang in the middle of MediaCity and located on the banks of Manchester Ship Canal.
The new Botanist venue will cover 6500 sq ft of drinking and eating space with room for 146 diners and it will also feature a large outside terrace allowing for al fresco drinking and dining.
On the food menu will be the brand’s signature hanging kebabs along with deli boards, nibbles and pub grub staples such as rotisserie chicken, inspired by the in-house barbeque.
The site will also showcase the brand’s extensive cocktail menu which offers over 45 botanical-based concoctions. In true Botanist style, the venue will be employing the services of top class mixologists who will merge and muddle fresh fruits, herbs and spirits to create unique signature tipples that will sit alongside a range of classic cocktails, shorts, and non-alcoholic beverages.
The bar will also stock more than 60 ales, beers and ciders from around the world, including a home-brewed speciality ale.
In anticipation of the launch in September, ‘The Botanist MediaCityUK’ will be recruiting 50-60 staff to cover all areas of the business with interviews taking place early August. So if you’ve had enough of listening to Jeremy Kyle talk rubbish every Thursday and Friday, or want to stop ironing Les Battersby’s denim jacket then get a CV together and get yourself down there!
