Simple, comforting and delicious food served in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, that’s exactly what GRUB’s new ‘CAFF’ is all about.
Situated inside First Street’s food and drink kiosk at Tony Wilson Place, the new concept will be open Monday – Friday 8am – 3pm with a menu of no nonsense, classic sandwiches that have Northern flavours at their core.
“We’ve taken the classic Northern butty shop that’s existed for generations and thrown it into the mix with our approach to supporting proper local producers. We can’t wait to give First Street and the people of Manchester a proper feed,” said Jason Bailey owner and founder of CAFF.
Aiming to be refreshingly simple by rejecting the complication of strict diets and the trend of avocado on everything, CAFF will serve up tasty and hearty grab and go style food, such as freshly made breakfast rolls, traditional cold sandwiches and other options perfect for a quick lunchtime snack.
Jamie Hills, development director at Ask Real Estate, landowner and developer of the First Street Estate furthered: “We’re pleased to support a local, independent business with CAFF. They will provide a quality and good value breakfast and lunch offering to the First Street neighbourhood, specialising in great butties. CAFF will add to our diverse mix of operators at First Street where we continue to attract new businesses and employers to the estate”.
CAFF will maintain an inclusive range, mirroring the standard offering with a vegan and gluten free option where possible.
Ingredients will come from local, traditional, family-run butchers and bakers such as Robinsons Artisan Family Bakery of Failsworth and Littlewoods Butchers of Heaton Moor where possible. Catering and delivery options will be available for ‘office butty runs’, casual events or anyone who loves stuff in bread.
CAFF opens its doors on Monday 17th November from 8am – 3pm.
