We’ve had darts, we’ve had baseball, now we’ve got cricket, as the planned rollout of cricket-based social concept ‘SIXES‘ continues with a location in our lovely city.
Owners of the Scottish restaurant & butchers – Mac & Wild – have created the new concept, basically a gastro pub complete with craft beers, cocktails and food – alongside a set of bookable cricket nets that you can hire by the hour and knock some corkies about the place.
The first SIXES site will be opening in London this May, with an 80-cover restaurant with dishes such as sausage rolls and lemon-fried chicken with Kiev butter dip, a separate bar area and four cricket nets.
This will be followed later in the year with sites in both Oxford and Manchester, although details are slim on these new openings at this point.
Would you wanna try and knock a couple of 4’s whilst supping a pint? It seemed to appeal to Beefy Botham for all of those years so why not?
