Anyone who’s ever queued to get into the Mulligans, perhaps Manchester’s most storied of Irish bars, it’s time to rejoice.
It’s now more than double the size, thanks to an expansion into the first floor, which has been transformed into a huge mezzanine bar, meaning if there’s not room downstairs, there’ll be plenty of craic to be had upstairs.
With a mezzanine floor to the front, which has space for a band (set to be a regular occurrence), and another to the back, the new space is huge, and there’s another eight Guinness pumps to keep the award-winning black stuff flowing – famously dubbed the best pint outside Ireland.
Both new areas will be QR code, table service situation too – so if you don’t fancy going to the bar, the bar will come to you.
You’ll also be able to hire out sections of the upstairs area for parties.
“We are super excited to unveil our new upstairs space,” says Pádraig Brady, Mulligans’ genial owner.
“This expansion not only allows us to host more guests but also provides an even more dynamic environment with additional live music and new premium services and spaces which will be available for hire. We look forward to our customers experiencing this new venue.”
