GoodEats has literally popped up out of nowhere during lockdown, and it’s become a great resource for us who want to be fed and watered, and for businesses who may not be big enough to fork out for the larger delivery services.
Well, I popped my postcode into GoodEats and up popped these beauties…
Henry C

Considered by many, myself included, to be the best neighbourhood cocktail bar in the whole of Greater Manchester, Henry C are using GoodEats to flog their outstanding cocktails as well as DIY at home packs. If you’re going to do it properly – go for their huge ‘Staying at Home’ Pack for £55.
Sicilian NQ

This brand-new Sicilian bistro and bar opened just a few weeks before lockdown, and those of you who were lucky enough to try their dishes – well fear not – because they are now open again for collection. Their sharing platters are the thing of legend, and there’s enough pasta, arancini and olives to keep even Robert De Niro happy. Oh, and then there’s the desserts.
Wolf at the Door

Wolf at the Door are currently offering some dead good Taco Tuesday Kits – where they send you all of the ingredients that you need in order to re-create their tacos at home. There are 10 tacos, 4 lucky dip beers, tortilla chips and Pico de Gallo – all from £25. Oh yeah and you can get frozen margaritas delivered as well. Oh, and wines. Oh, and bottles of tequila.
Umezushi & Yang Sing by Coffee B

Coffee B seemingly have one of the best and most extensive Good Eats pages out there – with a long list of things that they can deliver or you can pick up. They do everything you’d ever find in a coffee shop, including hot drinks, pastries, cakes and breakfast. But they really shine through by offering up dishes prepared by legendary Manchester sushi joint Umezushi, as well as Chinese treats from Yang Sing and Spanish dishes from La Bandera. They’ve got it all.
The Oystercatcher

Chorlton’s outstanding seafood offering The Oystercatcher are offering up collection on a reduced menu of tasty goodies including their Crab Arancini, Monkfish Curry and a Swordfish Burger. If you’re not much of a fan of seafood, they’re also offering up a Flat Iron Steak so you won’t go hungry. Add in a few sides and a couple of wines and you’re sorted.
Hampton & Vouis

Those of you seriously missing out on the coffee shop experience shall feel 10x better once you’ve pinged your order over to Hampton & Vouis near the Town Hall. They’ve got everything you’ve come to expect from such a place, including Smashed Avocado, loads of different Poached Eggs and the super-naughty – Oreo Peanut Butter Pancake Stacks. 2 of those please.

This South American eatery are offering up a massive range of services and foods, all available to collect from their location in Whitworth Locke on Princess Street. There’s a Virtual Date Night package, Uruguayan Wet Aged Steaks, Food Boxes, DIY Recipe Boxes, Wines, Spirits, Beers and even Peruvian Textiles!
Vin-yard

Hatch is now open again and they’re offering up the majority of their street food traders for collection – including the excellent Vin-yard who have a choice of over 150 bottles of wine to choose from. You can even order in cases of wine – should you not want to leave the house for a long time afterwards.
Herbivorous Vegan Street Food

With Hatch open again for collection, the brilliant Herbivorous have fired up their pots and pans, got the oven on ‘HOT’ and are banging out their signature vegan street food to anyone who’s hungry. They offer up a range of dishes including burgers, loaded fries, wraps and my personal favourite – their ‘Fish’ Finger Butty which miraculously tastes pretty much exactly the same as the meaty alternative.
FUKU

FUKU is back open, offering up salt & pepper dishes, Katsu curries, Korean Fried Chicken and their signature HUGE Sharing Platters. You can’t go wrong with their Salt & Pepper Box for 2 – although it’s so bloody good that it’s probably best if you get one each instead. In addition, there’s a long list of Small Plates nd Mains on offer – as well as a decent vegan offering.
Fuzion Noodle Bar

A true student institution, have you really actually ever been to University in Manchester if you haven’t sat in Fuzion with a stinking hangover and a massive bowl of noodles? No. No you haven’t. Well, they’re now offering collection and their menu is extensive – with everything you could ever desire. They also manage to make pretty much every single thing into a ‘Salt & Pepper‘ dish – which, if we’re being honest, is the best stuff ever.
