Established in London back in 2016, Woo Tea expanded North last year, opening up right in the heart of the city’s Chinatown on George Street, and my word – if you’re a fan of bubble tea and sweet treats – you have to pay it a visit!

The menu is already enticing, using the freshest and highest-quality ingredients to create their teas, smoothies, jellies and baked goods, but Woo Tea has recently announced some brand-new additions to indulge you even more.

First up is the Cream Pearl & Lava Cake, a gooey dessert made using fresh cream, tapioca balls and a baked waffle. It’s oozing with sweetness and flavour, making it a perfect afternoon pick me up, especially when paired with one of Woo Tea’s speciality bubble drinks.

The ‘Cream & Pearl’ flavour combination is also available in slush form, blending handmade oolong tea with a silky creaminess to create a refreshing Spring drink with a bit of body.

Woo Tea cook the tapioca pearls – the famous ‘bubbles’ in the tea – every 3 hours, ensuring that they’re always fresh and that they don’t turn sour and ruin the taste of the teas.

Easily the best seller is the cafe’s Watermelon Woo Tea (which is only 120 calories!), but there’s loads on offer. The diverse and innovative menu often features exotic fruits, such as Red Dragon Fruit, which is only available when Xiang is able to source it in the UK.

Woo Tea only ever uses fresh fruit in all of its products, meaning you know exactly what you’re getting when you order something from the cafe.

If you’ve never tried Bubble Tea or the delightful Lava Cake before, or if you’re an absolute veteran – Xiang will have something new and different for you to try. Head on down to Woo Tea in Chinatown to give it a go!
