While opening an ice cream parlour amid a very changeable October weather forecast might seem like a curveball, Lazy Sundae has arrived at the Arndale, and it is very much welcomed.
The hit dessert spot, famed for its eccentric flavours of the cold stuff, bubble tea and Japanese-style pancakes, has been attracting queues down Tib Street since opening their first store in the Northern Quarter in May 2021.
Now Lazy Sundae has arrived at the shopping centre’s £11m Halle Square, joining other foodie chains like Tim Hortons and Sim Chickens as well as independents Pancho’s Burritos and Hong Thai.
Serving up their popular sweet treats in the former short-lived Kiosk site, Lazy Sundae is offering Arndale customers some exclusive flavours, which aren’t available in the Northern Quarter.
Choose from Mango Sticky Rice, Avocado Coco, Peach Yakult, Jasmine Milk Tea, Matcha KitKat and Honey Butter Corn Crunch, all served in either a tub or their signature crusted cones.
If you’re after something a bit different, they’ve got an array of delicious bubble tea on offer – from fruity flavours to their cheese foam-topped option, which consists of cream cheese, milk, whipped cream, salt and sugar.
Just like the NQ spot, there’s a series of vegan options available too – Mango Sticky Rice, Vegan Coco, Avocado Coco and Pandan ice cream are all dairy-free.
Lazy Sundae at Manchester Arndale is open from 10am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and from 11am to 6pm on Sundays.
