There’s a new lunch offer in Ancoats, so if you’re back in the office, or you’re still working from home – you can get yourself something pretty special without making a big dint in your wallet.
It comes courtesy of Vietnamese favourite NAM on Cutting Room Square, a venue we love here at Finest, not just because they do some seriously good food, but it’s also a great place for a few cocktails on an evening, and there’s even a packed calendar of live DJ events in their dedicated space downstairs.
We’re here to talk about Lunch Times now though, and this one is a beauty. Choose yourself a dish off the ‘Large Plates’ day menu, and get yourself a Tiger Beer, wine or soft drink for the paltry sum of just £10.
So you can choose from Vietnam’s most popular dish – Pho – flavoursome and aromatic broth-style soup made with fresh stock, brewed and seasoned for hours and then packed with traditional rice noodles and tender cuts of meat and vegetables.

NAM offer Chicken, Beef, King Prawn or Tofu & Veg – all absolutely sublime.
Next up is the Bún – a traditional dish that’s thought to have originated from Hanoi, and features a selection of meats and vegetables on top of vermicelli noodles with NAM’s homemade Nuoc Mam dipping sauce, crispy salad, pickled veg and chilli.
You can choose to add Pork Spring Rolls, Chilli Tofu, Veggie Spring Rolls or the traditional Pork Belly on top.

Finally, no lunch time in Vietnam would be complete with the traditional Bánh Mì sandwich, and NAM’s is one of the best in the entire city. Served with pickled veg, mint, cucumber, chilli and their house dressing, you can have either Crispy Chilli Tofu or Five-spice Pork & Vietnamese Ham.
Choose one of these dishes, then decide whether you want a wine, Tiger Beer or soft drink and you’re all set. A tenner and a grin.
