Brand new to Monton is Wandering Palate, a unique shop that promises “fine wines and indulgencies”, a place that brings together the best wines, beers, cheese, meats, bread and loads more from all over the UK and beyond.
The people behind Wandering Palate are Will and Emma Evans, a very talented pair who you’ve probably heard of before, whether it’s with Emma’s art shows or the fact that Will is behind the sublime Manchester Union Lager.
They’re pulling together years of experience and contacts with Wandering Palate – offering something truly unique to the streets of Monton.
They founded the shop with the aim of sharing with the local community of Monton, their “favourite range of food and drink sourced over the years from their travels“, so you should expect the best wines & craft beers, UK cheese & charcuterie, tea, coffee and a host of luxury larder goodies.
The Wandering Palate also offer up freshly baked goods from Batard Bread, snacks and, what with it being schorchio outside, the fantastic Grandpa Greene’s ice cream – made fresh just on the other side of town in Diggle.
Will explains; “We just love the idea of stocking all of our favourite food and drink from all of our favourite producers”.
“All the things we’ve tried along the way and we tell our friends about, now we can tell even more people about them!”
Will and Emma want their new shop to become a centre point in the community, not just selling goods but also running little wine, beer and cheese clubs and tasting events – so keep an eye on their socials for news on those.
