MediaCity has just relaunched its popular outdoor dining spot in time for summer – and there’s a number of brilliant new foodie traders to try.

Kargo on the Docks has popped up on the Salford waterfront, bringing a new wave of street food flavours, artwork and good vibes to the gardens.

Operated by Quays street food destination Kargo, On The Docks will be home to pop-ups from some of the region’s best independent traders.

Honey Butter Ring Hut (operated by the folk behind Leopard Pie), former Hatch favourites Parmogeddon, So Famous and Block Steak Shop, as well as a second location for ThatZiki, will make up the vendors in the shipping container village.

The Honey Butter Ring Hut, from Worsley institution Leopard Pie, focuses on their signature dish, a twist on garlic bread, alongside sensational Neapolitan pizzas

Elsewhere, Parmogeddon bring their dreamy fried chicken and béchamel to the neighbourhood, whilst So Famous and Block Steak Shop serve up some seriously good burgers.

Local legends ThatZiki, who are already a favourite at Kargo’s flagship indoor destination MKT, will be dishing up some Greek goodness to finish the new food offering.

Over the past few weeks, local artists have been working on bringing Kargo On The Docks to life, adorning the newly added shipping containers with collaborative artworks and installations. The art trail display features work from Fernandes Makes, Kelly Ma and Caroline Daly, as well as MikeSian Studio and Tasha Whittle.

Caroline Aikman, Director of Marketing, Brand and Place for MediaCity, said: “Kargo on the Docks will provide a new space for our growing number of residents, workers, students and visitors to enjoy great local food and art in a vibrant, green outdoor setting.

“Sourcing and nurturing, local, emerging talent sits at the heart of MediaCity and Quayside’s ethos and Kargo on the Docks is set to continue that legacy, while adding another exciting dimension to MediaCity’s indie offering.”

You can visit Kargo On The Docks from Tuesday to Sunday, with food served from 11.30am to 9pm, and the bar open between 10am and 11pm.
