The UK’s largest student treasure hunt launches at intu Trafford Centre

It's getting close to that time of the year again, a time when around 100,000 students quickly descend on the city, getting on the Magic Bus asking to be dropped off on 'Deansgate Street' and generally spending their well-earned student loans whenever and wherever they can.

Hoping to get their hands on this student bunce, the Trafford Centre, (or the intu Trafford Centre as the corporate big-wigs want us to start saying) are hosting an evening of special deals, food and plenty of entertainment.

Tuesday 3rd October will see thousands of pounds’ worth of burgers, cocktails and milkshakes being given away, as well as what is said to be the UK’s biggest ever student treasure hunt; with more than 1,000 vouchers for free food and drink worth more than £5,000 being hidden all around the centre ready for thousands of students to discover.

Vouchers will be hidden in discreet spots around the centre, meaning students will have a mission on their hands to ensure they grab a freebie. Top tips include keeping an eye out by the centre’s decorative fountains, looking high and low amongst the hundreds of ornate planters and even seeking help at the many information pods on the malls.

On top of this, the centre’s 200 retailers will also be laying on an incredible evening of discounts, entertainment and prizes exclusively for students. There’s free bags, free makeovers, complementary nail art, personalised denim alterations and loads of food and drinks giveaways throughout the centre.

Leisure attractions including Laser Quest, The Rock and Paradise Island Adventure Golf will host challenges, competitions and freebies throughout the evening. While top brands including Topshop, Ted Baker, Selfridges, Michael Kors, Footasylum and Aldo will all offer up to 20% off plus in-store competitions, personalisation stations, goody bags, makeovers and DJs.
