San Carlo has opened up a garden terrace at its newest site in Alderley Edge.

Called ‘il giardino’, the lush space is a sun trap at the front of the restaurant, and can seat up to 60 guests.

Designed with inspiration from the gardens found in grand Milanese villas, it’s decked out in a pink and green colour palette, with festoon lights for the evenings.

The space is also dog friendly, encouraging local residents and visitors to use it as a post or pre-walk destination.

Marcello Disefano, Managing Director of San Carlo Group, said: “Our Alderley Edge San Carlo site is already a firm favourite of Cheshire regulars, but also for guests from the Greater Manchester region.

“Introducing our outdoor terrace this summer is the perfect addition to the site to compliment our indoor restaurant.

“As a family-run restaurant group, we’re always exploring ways to appeal to everyone, so ensuring that our terrace is dog friendly will provide the perfect drinks spot for those looking for a casual drink, or celebration with the whole family.”

San Carlo opened its Alderley Edge branch last year, with the group now boasting 25 sites in the UK – with six in Greater Manchester alone.

Further afield, there are also San Carlo restaurants in Kuwait, Bangkok, Qatar, Bahrain and Dubai and plans for another in Miami, set to open soon.
