Six by Nico have established a reputation for conjuring up magical culinary journeys in the kitchen, and taking inspiration from the unlikeliest of sources. That’s why their latest, a six-course tasting menu inspired by Dorothy’s journey through Oz, is an eccentric but fitting choice.

Diners begin with the yellow brick road, eating their way ever closer to The Emerald City. Stops on the way include courses inspired by The Scarecrow, The Wicked Witch of the West and other iconic scenes and characters from the 1939 Hollywood classic.

Andy Temple, Chief Creative Officer at Six by Nico has devised a series of inventive dishes ranging from the bright yellow ‘Nugget of Yellow Brick’, with a sweetcorn beignet and yellow courgette, to the goats curd and umeboshi plum ‘heart’ of ‘Tin Woodman & Cowardly Lion’, which features a signature bone broth they refer to as ‘liquid courage’.

For £44, guests will be able to experience the flavours from the Land of Oz. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives available, with the option to switch out any course for a preferred one from a different menu. You can add a wine pairing from £33 too. Running from 4 November to 15 December, customers have just six weeks to experience this magical menu.

Nico Simeone, CEO and Founder of the Six Company, commented: “The Land of Oz is a really exciting menu for us. We have been looking at this world and concept for a while, and first explored this through Somewhere in Glasgow. After further research and feedback from our valued guests, we feel our creativity of the dishes is really led by the story. We’re excited for guests to experience what is a totally new and unique experience for Six by Nico.”
