A new smash burger concept is set to launch from the team behind original viral burger flippers Almost Famous.
Called Super Awesome Deluxe, its creators are calling it ‘a mind-blowing smashed burger like no other’, and are initiating a kickstarter fundraising campaign to get the ball rolling.
Among the incentives to pay up for your smash burgers in advance will be exclusive merchandise, including custom Super Awesome Nike sneakers and t-shirts, vouchers, free burgers, bottomless brunches, and even a ‘Super Awesome’ late-night lock-in for you and 50 friends with free-flowing burgers and booze.
The plan is to open the late-night bar and takeaway on the corner of Thomas Street and Edge Street, just a stagger from the NQ Almost Famous branch.
On the menu will be just three burgers, ‘inspired by the East Coast and West Coast USA’ using a patty blend crafted with an award-winning local butcher, with in-house sauces and fresh-cut chips.
It will be open daily until it sells out, while the venue will feature an urban industrial design with garage and drum & bass music on the sound system.
Said the crew of the crowdfund push to make the project happen: “We’re crowdfunding £60k to cover costs. Times are tough, and we need extra support to launch this dream. By contributing, you’ll be part of something special and get super awesome rewards.”
