Picture this, it’s mid-afternoon on a Friday, you’re almost over the final hurdle of the week and your boss asks, ‘fancy grabbing some pizza from Tariff and Dale?’.
It’s an instant mood booster, of course. Procrastination in the form of pizza is always welcome, but when that pizza is also BOTTOMLESS – all of your prior stresses seem to suddenly disappear.
The popular Northern Quarter restaurant is known for its modern takes on British dishes and excellent pizzas, alongside an extensive cocktail selection that delivers the classics, each evolving a little further from the original and created from the finest and freshest ingredients.
The new pizza deal can be paired with either a cocktail (£15), beer or wine (£13) or soft drink (£11) and is available every Friday lunchtime between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Each pizza is made using Tariff and Dale’s sourdough bases served with a San Marzano tomato based marinara sauce.
You can choose from the traditional, not-to-be-messed-with Margherita, the ‘Nduja, the Artichoke, Pepperoni & Onion, Parma Ham & Gruyère, Burrata, which is a personal favourite. It’s basically a big lump of creamy melting cheese in the middle of a pizza. Amazing. And there’s also the Mushroom & Truffle option, as well as the Four Cheese for the true carb lovers.
It goes without saying that you’ll definitely need something to wash all of that tasty stodge down with, and if you choose the soft drink option, you can grab either an Apple, Orange, Cranberry, Pineapple or Tomato juice, alongside Coke, Diet Coke, Lemonade, Vimto or a Soda.
The boozier options consist of Paulaner Munich Lager, Beavertown Neck Oil IPA, Siren Lumen Session, Pulpt Flare Apple Cider and a red, white or rose wine.
Finally, if you fancy a Friday afternoon pick me up in the form of a cocktail, and Tariff and Dale’s take on the classics aren’t to be snarled at, you can choose from the Portobello Road Gin Copa, Red Snapper, Espresso Martini (that will easily stop you falling into that dreaded food coma back at your desk), the Southside or a Peach & Passionfruit Collins.
This new deal can’t come at a better time, especially now that the sunshine is back out and Tariff and Dale have a very alluring, balmy terrace!
If you’re heading down to enjoy the deal, you’re advised to pre-book to avoid any space issues and major disappointments. Oh, and if you fall asleep at your desk at 4pm on Friday, don’t blame me!
