Every time I find myself in Altrincham, the inevitable pull of The Con Club usually results in me sipping Prosecco and cocktails until the early hours – and if that goes well, it’s not unusual to find me sweating and strutting my stuff under their HUGE disco ball.
I’m sure that most of you can’t argue that it’s a great place; top drinks, fantastic food and a ‘vibe’ that keeps you coming back time and time again.
And I’ve not even mentioned their hidden rooftop terrace, which they’ve totally transformed this Christmas into a cosy cocktail den, installing heaters, popping down some thick blankets and roping up some lovely lights. It’s easily one of the best terraces in Manchester – and not that many people know about it!
The Con Club have also introduced a vibrant new Christmas Menu to their offering, with some delectable winter favourites available for £25 for 2 courses and £30 for 3.
The Lamb
Roast Garlic & Rosemary Hake
You can, of course, tuck into their Roasted Turkey Breast dinner with all the trimmings (including some amazing duck fat roast potatoes), alongside a Slow-braised Lamb Shoulder, Roast Garlic & Rosemary Hake and a Veggie Black Pudding Roast.
We were massively impressed with the desserts too, the Profiteroles being a clear stand-out. You can also tuck into the classic Christmas Pudding (caked in brandy custard), Spiced Apple Crème Brûlée and always welcome – New Market Dairy Cheese & Biscuits.

The Christmas Menu sits alongside The Con Club’s usual menu of Breakfast, Brunch & Lunch dishes, as well as their excellent Sunday Roasts and super-fresh Sushi, Nigiri and Sashimi.
